Lauren Conrad‘s days as a starlet on MTV’s hit series “The Hills” may be over, but that hasn’t stopped the business-savvy 24-year-old from riding her reality television fame and “it girl” status into a bona fide fashion career.

Conrad is poised to remain reigning queen of the tween-to-teen set with the fall collection of her LC Lauren Conrad line now available at Kohl’s stores and at Kohls.com; a higher-end contemporary line in the works; and two books scheduled for release by HarperCollins in October – a practical style guide titled “Lauren Conrad Style” and the third and last installment of her popular L.A. Candy series, “Sugar and Spice.” Timed for Kohl’s back-to-school advertising campaign, the LC Lauren Conrad fall collection is a continuation of the brand’s budget-conscious womenswear separates introduced in fall 2009.

HollywoodNews.com: Lauren Conrad left ‘The Hills’ years ago, but her career continues to grow as she is getting ready for a book tour that will have her promoting not one, but two new books.

The former reality TV star is going to be traveling for her third book in the L.A. Candy series, Sugar and Spice, as well as her new style guide, Style, reports OMG!. Conrad’s book tour will begin on October 5th, which is the same day both books are released. The tour will start in New York City and cover other locations like Los Angeles and Dallas.

Back when Heidi Montag and Lauren Conrad were living the life in the Hollywood Hills, LC warned her then best friend that Spencer Pratt was “a sucky person.” Not until now has Montag finally agreed.

“@LaurenConrad you were right! Spencer is soooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sucky!!!” she tweeted Lauren on Sunday.

Conrad has yet to reply, but she developed a growing dislike for Spencer years ago during the filming of “The Hills.” She tried to convince Montag of his not-so-nice ways but was left in the dust when Montag moved in with Spencer, ultimately severing their friendship.

The tweet is likely a response to Pratt’s recent media storm against his soon-to-be ex-wife. TMZ has reported that Pratt has threatened to release a sex tape if the blonde starlet doesn’t do another reality show with him.

But Pratt isn’t wasting any time. According to TMZ, He is currently shopping around multiple sex tapes of Montag. And that isn’t all he has planned. The reality star announced that he’s planning a tell-all in which he’s “not holding anything back,” including details of his argumentative relationship with Montag’s mother, Darlene.

Heidi Montag wants her old BFF back.

The Hills star — who filed for divorce from hubby Spencer Pratt last Friday — was in a nostalgic mood on Wednesday.

“Watching old Hills [episodes],” Montag, 23, Tweeted. “I miss you @AudrinaPatridge and most of all @laurenconrad.”

Neither Audrina Patridge nor Lauren Conrad responded to Montag’s plaintive Tweets.

Former roommates and best friends, Montag and Conrad famously ended their friendship over Montag’s boyfriend-turned husband Pratt; among other things, Conrad accused the couple of leaking a false rumor about a sex tape. When Montag attempted to mend the friendship, Conrad brushed her off on camera, quipping, “I want to forgive you — and forget you.”

Still, Conrad — and Patridge — did attend the couple’s April 2009 wedding.

Citing irreconcilable differences, Montag filed for divorce from Pratt, 26, in a Santa Monica, Calif.

Spencer’s explanation? “Well, some say if you can’t handle the heat get out of the kitchen. Heidi couldn’t handle King Spencer’s fame so she got out of the marriage,” Pratt told UsMagazine.com of his wife’s momentous decision.
